About
What this site is
An independent editorial site about how hiring works. No accounts, no applications, no data.
Callback publishes guides about the mechanics of getting hired — how job postings are written, what screeners are checking, how offers are structured, and what happens in the first ninety days. It is written for people going through the process rather than for the people running it.
What it is not
Callback is not a staffing agency, a recruiter, an employment service, a jobs board, or a workforce programme. It does not advertise vacancies, accept applications, collect or host résumés, place candidates, or hold any personal data about job seekers. There is nothing here to apply to.
If you are looking for employment services, contact your national or state public employment service, a local careers or workforce centre, or a licensed recruitment agency in your area. This site cannot help with an application, a benefit claim, or a training place, and does not have access to any records.
About this domain
This domain previously belonged to an unrelated business, which ceased operating some years ago. Callback is a new and entirely separate publication. It is not a continuation of, successor to, or affiliated with any previous occupant of the domain or with any organisation that previous occupant worked with.
None of the earlier material has been carried over. That includes, deliberately and completely, every page that contained personal information — the résumés, contact details, applicant records and programme participant details that were published on this domain in the 2000s. None of it is reproduced here, none of it is retained, and none of the old addresses that led to it will show you any of it. Requests relating to that earlier material should go to the party that published it, not to this site, which never held it.
Editorial approach
- Guides are written from published practice, employment guidance, and the documented mechanics of recruitment processes. Where practice varies by country, that is said rather than smoothed over.
- Nothing here is legal advice. Employment law differs substantially between countries and often between states or provinces, and several of the topics covered — restrictive covenants, criminal record disclosure, probationary rights, salary-history rules — vary enough that the only correct answer is a local one.
- Where a topic needs professional advice, the guides say so instead of guessing.
- Currency figures appear in examples only as examples. They are illustrations of structure, not salary benchmarks.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, out of date, or misleading, it should be fixed. Corrections are made to the guide itself rather than appended as notes, because a guide read once should be right the first time.
Independence
This site does not sell placements, does not take payment to recommend an employer, agency, or product, and does not run advertising. Where a category of tool or service is mentioned in a guide, it is because the category is part of the process being described, not because of any commercial arrangement.
Start at the beginning
The guides are arranged by stage, in the order the stages happen.
